Well Water Pump Installation & Maintenance

Well Water Pumps
A well water pump is a device used to extract water from a well for residential, agricultural, or industrial use. There are different types of well water pumps, each designed to handle various depths and capacities of water wells. The primary function of these pumps is to deliver water from underground sources to the surface for use in homes, irrigation systems, and other applications.
Submersible Pumps
These pumps are installed deep inside the well, fully submerged in water. They are ideal for deep wells and are known for their efficiency and reliability. Submersible pumps push water to the surface and are capable of lifting water from depths of several hundred feet.
One of our specialties is installing or servicing submersible pumps.
Pressure Switches
In well water systems, a pressure switch is a critical component that regulates the operation of the well pump. It monitors water pressure and controls when the pump turns on and off based on pre-set pressure thresholds. The cut-in pressure activates the pump to start pumping water, while the cut-out pressure deactivates the pump to stop the water flow. Pressure switches consist of a pressure sensing element, electrical contacts, and adjustable springs. The sensing element detects water pressure changes, opening or closing the electrical contacts to control the pump. Adjustable springs allow for the customization of pressure settings to suit the specific needs of the system.
There are two main types of pressure switches: standard and heavy-duty. Standard switches are used in typical residential systems, while heavy-duty switches are suitable for larger or high-demand applications. Proper maintenance, including inspection for wear and tear, cleaning, and adjustment of settings, is essential to ensure the pressure switch operates efficiently and prolongs the lifespan of the well pump and system.
Overall, pressure switches play a crucial role in maintaining system efficiency, providing a consistent water supply, and protecting equipment. Regular maintenance and monitoring of the pressure switch are necessary to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the well water system. We will help you with your pressure switches.

Pressure Tanks
Pressure tanks are integral to well water systems, storing water and maintaining pressure to ensure a consistent supply. They work by using a bladder or diaphragm to separate water and air inside the tank. As water is pumped in, it compresses the air, which then pushes the water into the plumbing system when a faucet is opened. This design reduces the frequency of pump starts and stops, extending the life of the pump and improving energy efficiency.
There are two main types of pressure tanks: diaphragm tanks and bladder tanks. Diaphragm tanks use a flexible diaphragm, while bladder tanks use a removable bladder to separate water and air. Both types help maintain consistent water pressure throughout the plumbing system, providing a reliable water supply for household activities. Regular maintenance, including checking air pressure and inspecting for leaks, is crucial to ensure pressure tanks operate efficiently and last longer
